Richard leads the company's financial strategy, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. He drives initiatives to improve cash flow, reduce costs, and increase profitability. His responsibilities include compliance reporting and internal controls, as well as oversight of enterprise resource planning and financial systems software.
A key organization leader, Richard conducts monthly financial reviews with project managers to help manage budgets and costs and also oversees our accounting, IT, and payroll teams. Further, he helps us maintain key stakeholder relationships through financial reporting.
Expertise
A seasoned financial professional, Richard has been in the industry since 2011. He initially joined Air Systems as a controller, where he developed a deep understanding of our financial processes, controls safeguards, compliance regulations, and the ins and outs of budget management for our work.
Prior to joining our team, Richard held positions at one of the “Big Four” accounting firms and at one of California’s leading residential land developers. In these roles, he developed expertise in auditing, analysis, cash flow management, modeling, and other financial processes, as well as in hiring, mentorship, and team management.
Richard attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business economics. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
The Personal Side
Richard is married with three children. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending quality time with his family.
